Five current and former Scripps Ranch High School students recently earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, the organization’s highest honor, for their outstanding commitment to community service. Ali Hoffer, Amanda Winey, Courtney Payton, Mattie Christofferson and Sarah Weinstein completed their unique service projects after two to three years of planning and preparation.

Ali, Amanda, Courtney, Mattie and Sarah are among the 48 San Diego Girl Scouts who earned the Gold Award this year. Just 5.4 percent of Girl Scouts nationwide achieve this level of recognition. Congratulations, ladies!
