I also plan on focusing on mental health and homelessness, two issues that are of particular importance to me,” said Assemblymember Maienschein.

The Committee’s primary jurisdictions are; healthcare, health insurance, Medi-Cal, other public health care programs, mental health licensing of health and health-related professionals, and long term health care facilities.

“Given his experience and background, Assemblymember Brian Maienschein is an excellent choice to serve as Vice Chair of the Health Committee. Brian’s unique blend of economic responsibility and service to those in need will be a great benefit to the committee,” said Assembly Minority Leader Connie Conway, of Tulare.
