A Message from Jan McGinn, SRCA Community Fair Chair
You’re Invited to the 15th Annual Scripps Ranch Community Fair!
Come and enjoy an entertaining day at the Fair as we celebrate what makes Scripps Ranch the wonderful neighborhood in which we live – parks, hiking trails, schools, youth activities, community/service groups, talented performers, and local businesses.
As the second largest event in our community (after the 4th of July Parade and Festivities), the Fair brings residents together for a fun-filled, family event conveniently located at the Scripps Ranch Community Park. While you wander through the booths of community groups, businesses and vendors showcasing their services, products and crafts, you’ll discover valuable information, the perfect gift, an item that’s just right for you, or a new service provider. Admission is free and proceeds help fund the valuable community services provided by the nonprofit SRCA.
Besides wandering through the booths, you’ll have plenty to do at the Fair – sampling delicious food at the Food Truck Court, enjoying a drink at the Wine & Beer Garden, listening to talented performers onstage, joining in with Rob the DJ’s antics, and watching kids have fun in the Kids’ Zone and as they experience hands-on activities throughout the Fair. Then join us for the free concert that evening as Breez’n returns for another rockin’ performance.
This year we have two special performers – The Opera Singing Chef and Richard Lederer (children’s author). Chef Elizabeth will delight you with her unique style of music and cooking demonstration. Richard will host a storytelling of his brand new kid’s book Monsters Unchained!.
Are you interested in greener living, water conservation, energy efficiency, gardening tips, and the great outdoors? Drop by Green Street and talk to the knowledgeable community groups and businesses who are ready to answer your questions. Would you like to reduce your electrical bill? TechniArt will have energy efficient LED light bulbs on sale for a remarkably low price.
As you can see, we’ll have plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy the day. See you at the Fair!
