Evan Caplinger, a longtime 92131 resident and previous Marshall Middle School student, knew for his Eagle Scout project that he wanted to give back to the community. In response, he decided to pave an area of the middle school where he once treaded himself. “Since the school administration wanted that area paved, I was all too happy to oblige,” said Evan. He executed the project with prestige, going from “inexperienced builder” to a successful project leader. For the new path, he smoothed out the ground underfoot, covered it with sand, then layed down and cut each individual tile with care. Congratulations to Evan on receiving the highest honor of Eagle Scout rank for his good deed.
