The San Diego Police Department Northeastern Division is hosting its third annual National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 13396 Salmon River Rd. Residents and neighborhoods throughout San Diego and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening with neighbors and first responders.

National Night Out is an event designed to heighten awareness of crime and drug prevention, generate support for anti-crime programs, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships. The SDPD Northeastern Division will have various booths set up with kid’s activities, child fingerprinting with photos, entertainment, snacks, and safety information. SDPD SWAT, SDPD K9 and variety of other SDPD representatives will be there to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of National Night Out.
