Prioritizing Family and Fun

Growing up in small communities, Matthew Amos and Erica Barioni-Amos were drawn to the small town-feel of Scripps Ranch. Six years ago, the couple discovered the area not only boasted great neighbors and a family atmosphere, it also provided easy access to parks for their active lifestyle. Today, Matthew and Erica and their two children, Evan and Giada, happily call Stonebridge Estates home.

Matthew was born and raised in Fallbrook, while Erica’s childhood was spent on the family farm in Imperial Valley. After meeting on a blind date, they admitted it was “love at first sight.” Today, Matthew is a broker associate with Pacific Sotheby’s, a certified International Property Specialist, and working to become the first Accredited Land Consultant in San Diego County. Erica plays double roles as a stay-at-home mom and an interior designer. She has started her own business, Seagrass and Sage Interiors, where she works on select projects, including clientele from Sotheby’s International Realty and MLA General Contractor.

“People are surprised to hear how young we are after seeing how much we have accomplished at our age.”

Evan, 10, attends Francis Parker School. He plays competitive soccer with the Scripps Ranch Soccer Club. “When Evan is not on the field, you can find him building things with his dad,” Erica shared. Giada, 4, also has a favorite activity – dressing as a princess. “When she is not dressed as a princess, Giada can be found on the sidelines cheering on her big brother at soccer games.”

As a family, sports and family trips are priorities. “We enjoy getting away to Park City, UT for a little snow action (snowboarding and skiing), family hikes, trips to ‘papa’s farm,’ and spending time with family and friends,” the couple shared. They also acknowledged that they are “a BIG soccer loving family.”

Around the house, having fun is part of the Barioni-Amos family life. After a surprise gift of three nerf guns from Matthew, family nerf war games have become a popular activity. On a more serious side, the couple often surprise people with their age. “People are surprised to hear how young we are after seeing how much we have accomplished at our age,” Erica and Matthew said.
