PowPAC, Poway’s Community Theatre, continues a season of laughter with Making God Laugh, running Nov. 10 through Dec. 17. The comedy by Sean Grennan follows the lives of a typical American family through 30 years of shared holidays, starting in 1980. The cast of characters includes Ruthie, Bill, and their grown children – a priest, an aspiring actress, and a former football star – and over the course of the play, old family rituals come head to head with ancient tensions and changing circumstances.

Making God Laugh is directed by Brent A. Stringfield and produced by Merrill Gill and Ruth Woodbeck. The cast includes Linda Englund as Ruthie, John Wilcox as Bill, Jack Holdeman as Richard, Shelby Blackwood as Maddie, Alex Contreras as Thomas, and Michele Dixon as the housekeeper.

The show runs for five weekends, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. There are no performances Thanksgiving weekend. Find tickets and learn more at www.powpac.org.
