The Scripps Miramar Ranch Library celebrates 25 years
An Evening to Remember
The Scripps Miramar Ranch Library (SMRL) was first established as a storefront location in 1986, and then opened its current location in 1993. Since then, the SMRL has not only served the community, but has undergone several changes and improvements. The SMRL will honor its 25 years of retaining Scripps Ranch history and the success it has garnered with the community.
The SMRL will be celebrating its 25th anniversary with a special fundraiser event called Celebrate 25: An Evening to Remember. The celebration will take place at the library at 10301 Scripps Lake Dr. on March 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. and will include hors d’oeuvres, drinks, live music, a silent auction, docent tours explaining the history and features of the library, and more. Guest Master of Ceremonies will be Dave Mason of Sunny 98.1, and there will also be performances from Trevor Gibson and the Scripps Ranch Rock-N-Blues Band.
SMRL’s goal is to raise $25,000 to enhance the library’s courtyard as well as upgrade sunshades, lighting, seating, and other improvements. Friends of the Library will also match up to 50% of new donations received.
