The Last Hurrah

As the Scripps seniors are getting ready to leave their Falcon nest and go off to college, they had a last celebration at prom on June 2. The theme was Garden of Lights, and it was held at the University of San Diego. The dance was from 8 until 11 p.m. and it was filled with dancing, drinks, games, and food. Some students spent all night on the dance floor, while others played poker and blackjack in the game room. Senior Grayson Pham explained, “Everyone was hyped and excited and just having such a good time.”

Those who attended had gone through four years of hard work together, and some have known each other for even longer, so it was bittersweet to say goodbye to some of their closest friends as they had a last celebration to commemorate their years of high school. And what better way to end their high school experience than by having a big celebration? “It was a great way to sum up my high school experience, say goodbye to friends, and transition into college,” said Asya Bernal, another senior.

As their final hurrah, the Scripps Ranch High 2018 Prom created lasting memories in the minds of all those who attended, leaving seniors ready to start their new journey into adulthood.
