cm_troop301-2After 33 years of involvement in Boy Scouts, Dr. Bryon Solberg has been named Scoutmaster Emeritus for Troop 301 of Scripps Ranch. Current and former troop members organized a special celebration honoring Dr. Bryon’s many years of service, complete with cake, funny skits, a mock Board of Review, and heartfelt tributes from Eagle Scouts, leaders, and Dr. Bryon’s sons, Josh and Garrett. “I am so grateful to all who came and helped make it so wonderful,” Dr. Bryon said. “Being part of these young mens’ and their families’ lives is such a blessing to me. I believe that I have received far more than I can ever give.”

Dr. Bryon has also volunteered as a sports coach, in schools, as a Sunday School teacher, and with the Challenged Athletes Foundation. He plans to continue his involvement with Boy Scouts in the years ahead. “I have accepted invitations to a national scouting committee, a council committee, and to teach some topics to leaders in districts throughout the council,” he shared. “I am so happy and grateful to be able to continue to help serve Scouting and Troop 301.”
